Job Description Job Title: IT QA Software Tester Analyst Reports To: Director, Technology Solutions Department: IT Intake and Planning Job Summary Develop, implement and execute a rigorous process by which customized proprietary software implementations can be tested. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for developing, review and executing test plans Responsible for developing test cases Responsible for executing test cases against internally developed software including configurations data processing, Web and smartcard personalization applications Participate in technical requirement reviews with cross-functional teams Provide test estimates and contribute to ensure delivery on schedule with high quality Perform software testing for internal software including: Analyze the business and functional requirements Write/ update test cases and develop test scenarios based on the business requirements and technical specifications with focus on data driven test scenarios Assist with black-box testing, negative testing, customer scenario testing, regression testing and platform testing Proof read document to ensure correctiveness and follows standards Execute test cases to ensure business and technical requirements are met Develop and prioritize test coverage matrices to maximize testing efficiency Document test results and track defects to resolution in tracking system Work with development teams to investigate and fix software bugs/defects based on the test results Report test results to project management and other stakeholders as required Involve in backend database testing Prepare and generate test data for different test scenarios (positive and negative testing) Provide approvals for IT Change Management according to the requirements of relevant processes. Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements Work Experience: Up to 5 years' experience in software systems testing management and execution based on Windows Platform Up to 2 years' experience of software programming and configuration Skills and Competencies: Solid Understanding of Software Development Life cycle and specifically QA processes, Change management and test methodologies Full understanding and ability to manipulate data, files and SQL database tables Experience in Data driven testing Previous testing experience in Web services Experience in bug/defect tracking tools Ability to work on multiple projects in tandem when necessary Good written and verbal communication skills. Good analytical troubleshooting skills Able to work effectively independently, taking initiative as required while coordinating with other team members, an Attitude for team work Experience with EMV (Europay MasterCard Visa) chip and payment card industry is preferred. Basic Knowledge of SAP an asset Education: A university or college degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any Information Technology discipline is preferred CSTE, ISTQB Exam certification an asset or working towards it. Job Description Description Implementing and Enforcing SOP's, Corrective Actions, product specifications, and other Technical/Quality Control Department decisions Implementing and enforcing Corrective Action Reports Conducting Plant Inspections and Internal Audits (daily, weekly, monthly) Conducting Pre-op and Raw Material Inspections as needed. Supervising QC Line technicians in terms of: scheduling, line coverage, minimizing over time, vacation time, performance reviews, and disciplinary action when necessary along with input from the QA Supervisor. Being the trainer of new QC technicians when they are hired for any given QC technician position. Collecting QC paperwork, ensuring that all QC documents get completed and turned in each day Communicating with QA Supervisor and Technical Manager when issues arrive and working together to resolve. GMP Monitoring-includes associates, as well as, process flow, SOP, and SSOP; Point out and fix (CAR) as necessary. Develop, review and audit SOP Managed all aspects of QC to ensure all raw material and product meet company and government standard. Final Releases when needed and time permitting Participate in recalls and audits/inspections when necessary. Responsible for the implementation of the company's quality assurance program and improvement. Aid QA Supervisor and Technical Manager in overseeing/reviewing pre-operations inspections and Environmental Monitoring Program. Advisor to QC/Production Technicians on quality deviations/issues Conducting Mock Recalls with QC Staff (product traceability exercises) Performing Thermometer Calibrations (conducting calibration and documenting records of calibration) Requirements: At least one year of experience with HACCP and HACCP implementation in a Food Processing Plant. At least one year of experience with GMP implementation in a Food Processing Plant. Prior experience in a Food Processing Plant environment. Prior experience in Environmental Swabbing- sponge sampling, ATP swabbing, surface swabbing Previous QC experience and supervisory experience required - experience specifically in the food industry is a big plus. B.S. Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biological Sciences (Biology/Biochemistry), Physics - Food Science preferred, major plus. Moderate to Strong Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Person is able to successfully communicate with and direct people. Person is able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, able to quickly adjust and critically think under all circumstances. Spanish and English is a plus. This position would be roughly 66% (2/3) of time actively being present in production areas/dock/warehouse and approximately 33% (1/3) desk/computer work. Key thing for this person is to be a "go-getter", able take action and physically implement QC procedures, rules, corrective actions etc. This person is fully capable of doing desk work/ "brain work", but has the personality and the work ethic that they want to be in the production rooms "on the floor", physically overseeing the job performance of their QC technicians under them. This will entail them being on their feet for a good part of the day when necessary.
